2024 Fall Campout

The Mighty Croix Nation ventured south to Camp Tecumseh in early October for the first of three campouts this hunting season. The weather was amazing even if it was a little hot at times, the entire nation was thankful to the Medicine Man for ensuring the Great Spirit kept us dry over the weekend. The Princesses and Dads were able to take part in a number of great activities, including archery, riflery, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, horseback riding, ghost cabin searching, and other outdoor activities.
There were a number of activities and competitions within Croix Nation as well during the weekend, including the spookiest cabin (congratulations to the Apache tribe!), scarecrow creation (congratulations to the Cherokee tribe) and also awards for biggest eater, peace & love, and others. The highlight of the weekend was the costume dance party attended by a mysterious giant inflatable Mr. Potato Head.
Welcome to all of our new members and congratulations to those who were granted the honor of Haylushka at this campout. A special thanks to all of those serving on the Longhouse and the Elders of the program for continuing to make this one of the best programs for Dads and Daughters in IL.
We can't wait to see everyone again at the winter campout in February!
