Spirit of Croix
The Spirit of Croix is awarded each Spring to the tribe that demonstrates the most spirit of the Indian Princesses in the Croix Nation. Tribes earn points toward the award by attending Nation Events during the hunting season. Each Nation Event is assigned points (25 points for an event and 50 points for a camp out). Only the number of Indian Princesses attending each event or camp out is counted – not the number of Braves. The number of points earned for each event is based on a percentage of the Indian Princesses attending for a tribe. For example, if 50% of the Indian Princesses from a tribe attend a camp out, then the tribe receives 50% of the total points for that event (25 out of a maximum of 50 points). Percentages are used to make the Spirit of Croix Award fair for both large and small tribes. Tribes can also earn an additional 10 points by winning either the Olympics or the Chief’s Hunt at the camp outs.
