Haylushka Dance - 4/17/21

On April 17 the Mighty Croix Nation celebrated all the braves and princesses that have earned the highest honor in the Indian Princess program, the Hay-Lush-Ka Honor.

The event was held at the beautiful Abbey Resort in Lake Zurich and started with a photo shoot session led by the nation's Dream Catcher around the Abbey beautifully manicured grounds by the water. The official dinner was held in the Grand Ballroom where the tribes were able to socially distance. During dinner the Hay-Lush-Ka chief announced the Hay-Lush-Ka of the year award, an award given to a princess who has distinguished herself by exceptional community service during the previous year. This year the Hay-Lush-Ka of the year was awarded to Sunset Dancer of the Apache tribe, congratulations!

Sunset Dancer and her brave Man in the Maze were given the honor of the first dance of the night. Shortly after all princesses and braves hit the dance floor, everyone had a blast dancing and challenging each other to dance battles. Looking at the princesses smiling and having fun on the dance floor and seeing crazy dance moves by some of the most engaged Braves on the dance floor made the evening priceless.

Everyone had a lot of fun taking pictures with crazy props at the mirror photo booth.

The evening ended with a movie, pizza and lots of fun in the amazing swimming pool.

A big thank you to the Hay-Lush-Ka Chief Hawkeye of the mighty Mohicans for his dedication to this event.
